Carapacho is a place in the parish of Luz, Santa Cruz da Graciosa. It is known for its spas and summer resort. The Carapacho Hot Springs, with sulfurous thermal waters, have been used since 1750 to treat rheumatic and skin diseases. The port of Carapacho and the Hermitage of Nossa Senhora de Lurdes are other points of interest.
