Initially there must have been a house dating back to the fifteenth century. In the seventeenth century, the small church dedicated to the Saint was built, invoked to protect livestock and shepherds. The documents of the pastoral visit of 1692 remember it as dedicated to the patronage of Maria S.S. and San Fermo.
