From high points like Meridian Peak, you'll enjoy sweeping vistas of Salt Lake City and the Cottonwood Canyons, making the effort well worth it.

    This difficult route covers 10.0 miles (16.1 km) and involves a substantial 2081 feet (634 metres) of elevation gain, typically completed in about 2 hours and 19 minutes. Be aware that there is no shade or water along the trail, so carrying plenty of water is crucial. An early morning start is advisable, especially in warmer months, to mitigate sun exposure.
