"Fritz Koeber was the path representative of the DAV Miesbach section for several decades and, with the greatest personal and physical effort, made the ancient, particularly scenic but almost dilapidated path over the west ridge to the Trainsjoch accessible again. With a special talent for natural path construction, he adapted the new climbing system to the mountain and opened up a strenuous but particularly beautiful path for mountaineers. The Miesbach mountaineers are now posthumously thanking him for his commitment by naming it after him."

Beautiful climb over the ridge to Trainsjoch. But crisp - T3.
The Fritz-Koeber-Steig also runs on the border between Bavaria and Austria and some boundary stones can be found here. In winter the last 250 m are dangerous.
