The Saint Furcy fountain is a historic fountain located in the village of Bellefontaine. According to legend, this fountain was created by Saint Furcy, an Irish evangelist who struck a rock with his staff and brought out a spring in the 7th century. The fountain is said to have curative properties and attracts pilgrims who come there to seek protection for their livestock. The fountain is surrounded by a small Gothic style building with four columns and a statue of Saint Furcy. Nearby you will also find a grotto dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes, with benches for resting. The fountain is accessible by several hiking trails which offer beautiful views of the countryside and the forest. You can enjoy the cool water, peaceful atmosphere and rich history of this place.
