The Daigo Line is an alternative route up to the Wada Pass 和田峠. Coming over from the Iriyama Pass, you will come out on to this road, just turn right (c6.5kms). If approaching from Hachiouji, do not turn left towards Wada at the bridge but just head straight on (c7.5kms).
The road itself passes by a few villages before turning into a fully fledged mountain road (林道）.
It is not particularly well kept with rocks, twigs etc everywhere but not too many potholes. Some parts are surprisingly well kept underneath but it has long steep sections so progress is slow. There is a gate towards the Wada Pass side and the last 100m are completely gravel.
