The Riverscene Trail derives its name from the numerous breathtaking views along the Meramec River. It's widely acclaimed as offering the most spectacular vistas within Castlewood State Park.

The best views are found in the northern section of the trail, owing to its elevated position. The southern part meanders around a forested hillside, making for a nice diversity.
