    From 1901 to the 1930s a bustling ferry landing when all San Francisco trains had to cross here to the Benicia side of the Carquinez Strait, the few remaining houses and storefronts are in a charming state of arrested decay, only open on weekends when visitors might come.
    A tiny village with antique stores and a cafe are open on weekends. Historic facades remain of the heydays in the 19th century when it was a bustling town with barges crossing the Carquinez Strait before bridges were built.
