Furna do Enxofre is a large volcanic cave on Graciosa Island. It is characterized by a vaulted roof and originates from caldera eruptive centers. It is accessible via a stone tower with a spiral staircase. In addition to its geological importance, it houses a cold water lagoon and a degassing field with carbon dioxide fumaroles.
