The Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust maintain a number of preserves and ponds here along Old Country road. Crooked Farm Preserve stands out in particular due to their partnership with the Carpenter's Boat Shop. The boat shop runs an annual 9 month boat building apprenticeship from March through November.
