Nordic walking
The Patensteig is one of the most popular hiking trails in the region and far beyond, and is looked after and constantly developed by the DAS PATENSTEIGTEAM association. It is six kilometers long and requires a walking time of two to three hours, depending on your interest in nature and historical information. The Patensteig opens up the Gersiek and Rickbach gorges, the two naturally, historically and geologically interesting valleys in our region. The waterfalls and countless boulders still provide impressive evidence of the Saale Ice Age around 200,000 years ago.
