The peak of Monte Matro is located in the Lepontine Alps of the Canton of Ticino. It is 2,172 meters high, marks the border between the municipalities of Faido and Serravalle and divides Val Leventina from Valle di Blenio. It is a panoramic point that offers a wide view over the entire Three Valleys Region, and on the top there is a telecommunications antenna and a weather station.
