Part of the Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve and nestled among the rolling dunes of the Saih Al Salam Desert, these extensive man-made lakes blend beautifully into their surroundings. Numerous islands provide habitat for the many species of birds that nest here, and low bushes and trees provide food for birds and insects, although there is little shade for humans. The lakes may be artificial, but the surrounding area is untouched.
