The Protestant church in Marienberghausen differs significantly from the outside of the other medieval village churches in Oberberg. It is believed that the church was built around 1200, but there is no concrete documentary evidence that clearly proves this. Due to many renovations over the centuries, only the defensive tower in front remains in its original form. The late Gothic wall and vault paintings were only found at the beginning of this century. They show, among other things, the Last Judgment, the Annunciation, the dragon fight of Saint George and the temptation of Saint Anthony.
