The ruins of Everdes Castle are all that remains of a medieval fortress built in the 13th century by the lords of Corbières-Vuippens, who were involved in a feud with the cities of Friborg and Bern. The castle did not last long since it was destroyed by fire in 1348 and today only a fragment of its southern surrounding wall remains.
