Surrounded by forest and wetlands, Cottle Lake is a beautiful, quiet spot at the centre of Linley Valley Park, one of Nanaimo’s largest protected green spaces. The small freshwater lake is surrounded by walking trails and dense vegetation, creating habitat for birds, amphibians, and other wildlife. Reflections of surrounding trees and seasonal changes in the landscape make it a picturesque spot to take a break during a walk through the park.
