This trail takes you through the Witt Swamp Preserve. The preserve is mostly a marsh, so much of the trail is built on raised wooden boardwalks. Following the trail south, it leads you to Shepard Farm Preserve and Penneeseewassee Lake, a great place to have a swim on a hot summers day.

Keep a look out for turtles that like to call the nature preserve home. You can often see them perched on top of floating logs.
