The Kouri Bridge, inaugurated in 2005, is a remote island bridge spanning 1,960 meters, connecting Yagaji Island in Nago City and Kouri Island. As the second-longest bridge in Okinawa that can be crossed for free, it is renowned for the breathtaking view of the emerald-green sea stretching on both sides. This makes it not only a popular drive route but also a highly sought-after scenic spot.
On the Yagaji Island side of the Kouri Ohashi Bridge, there is a free parking lot at the Kouri Ohashi Minami Zume Observatory, and it is recommended to park your car here and walk across the bridge. You can enjoy a leisurely stroll as if walking on the sea while enjoying the surrounding scenery.
On the Kouri Island side after crossing the bridge, there are spots such as "Kouri Beach" and "Kouri Station Sorahashi." The island is also known as a sacred place for lovers, referred to as "Island of Love," and on the beach on the north side of the island, there is a heart-shaped "Heart Rock".
