Mano del Desierto is an 11-meter-high iron and cement sculpture by Mario Irarrázabal created in 1992 in the Atacama Desert. The sculpture stands at an elevation of 1,000 meters above sea level, not far from the city of Antofagasta in northern Chile. It serves as a warning to stop environmental sins so that the earth does not become a desert everywhere.
