Loja is a splendid colonial-style town. Very characteristic are the colorful buildings that recall the cities of the Colombian coast, such as Cartagena, yet we are at 2,000 meters above sea level. The sculptures that portray scenes and characters from everyday life are truly special. The peculiarity is not only in the theme of the representation but in the fact that they are colored sculptures, as the Greeks and Romans did millennia ago.
