In the museum you can get an idea of Yersin's work. He founded Dalat, discovered a vital plague bacterium, and researched agricultural methods and meteorological predictions, all to the great benefit of the Vietnamese. Yersin came to Nha Trang in 1891 and devoted the rest of his life to scientific discoveries in his laboratory until his death in 1943. He founded the institute in 1895. You can see his desk, a rich library and his scientific instruments.
