Long Lake is a medium-sized alpine lake, that can be reached via a short hike from the Palisades Creek Trailhead. Yes, it takes a little more effort (and a beautiful hike!) to reach Long Lake than the popular Lake Tahoe, but you will be rewarded with a tranquil atmosphere at a scenic lake with a beautiful surrounding.

Long Lake is just south of Cascade Lake. It's a classic medium-sized alpine lake and worth the effort to arrive here and enjoy the views. It's nice for a dip, for fishing or just for a get away.
