Long Lake is a medium-sized alpine lake, that can be reached via a short hike from the Palisades Creek Trailhead. Yes, it takes a little more effort (and a beautiful hike!) to reach Long Lake than the popular Lake Tahoe, but you will be rewarded with a tranquil atmosphere at a scenic lake with a beautiful surrounding.
