    From the saddle of Stujack Pass, situated at an elevation of 5,750 feet, hikers can relish outstanding panoramic views. This serves as an excellent spot to take a break and perhaps decide to turn back. Reaching this point can be demanding, so it's crucial to be well-prepared with proper footwear and an ample water supply. If there's snow, the challenge can escalate further. Beyond this point is suitable only for highly experienced hikers proficient in scrambling and equipped with the necessary gear, as navigating rock fields to reach Mount Pugh can pose significant risks.

      Stujack Pass is a mountain pass along Mount Pugh Trail. This pass is at 5,700 feet in elevation. This section of the trail has about 20 switchbacks and can be a rough climb, as the footing can be tricky in spots.
