The trail kicks off at a cool wooden bridge crossing over Beaver Creek. Once you cross, take a left turn and head up into the pine forest, following the trail's recent rerouting that avoids the Jeep road.
While gradually ascending the hill, the trail has undergone recent tweaks, adding some nice red dirt in the turns to boost traction for your later downhill ride. At the peak of the climb, soak in the scenic views overlooking Red Hill Pass on 285.
