The views from the top of Fourth Mountain off sweeping vistas of the wilderness, and the rolling ridgeline that the AT follows through this segment is diverse and a fun challenging run. The terrain is technical, and you will find yourself scrambling up mossy boulder piles and running through boardwalked bogs.

From the summit of Fourth Mountain you get sweeping views of the wilderness and of Long Pond. The hike to and from this peak follows a rolling ridge line along the AT that is challenging, but fun, as you scramble up boulders through scrubby trees.
