The town was established during the Song Dynasty (11th to 13th century), but had started out earlier as a trading post. Main products traded had been rice and silk.

The old cobble street takes you along shops and boutiques to the impressive Ciyun Temple.

Cycling is probably off limits down this street, depending on day of the week and time of the day. I had been here early and was not stopped. But even if the bike has to be parked outside, I recommend walking down here.
