Large spacious campground in the plains next to the Cañada de la Gaviota Estuary, separated from the long sandy beach by the tall historic trestle of the coastal railroad. Hiker / biker campsites available without reservation at a discount, even if the rest of the campground should be full in season. Drinking water, picnic tables, restrooms, and coin showers available.

Always booked solid by surfers in summer and on weekends. Hiker/biker sites always available ($10). Coin operated showers. (One seems to work without coins 11/2017).
