On both sides of Yuma Main Canal are great dirt/gravel trails for a loop South to the Colorado River, and all the way north to the Great American Canal. Even though the trail is interrupted a few yards north of here by the railway line, it can be crossed on foot.

Mountain biking
On both sides of the Yuma Main Canal gravel trail connect car free between the Colorado river and the All-American Canal. Only here the trail is interrupted by the railway dam/bridge, but can be easily connected via a short turn onto Quechan road and Picacho road under the railway bridge
