Perins Peak is an 8,346-foot mountain on the outskirts of the town of Durango. The peak has a cliff face that is easy to pick out from miles away, and the infrequently visited summit is only open a few months each year.

Perins Peak is situated in a wildlife area that is closed from December 1st until July 31st every year for Peregrine Falcon nesting.
