On the small island of Carn, a cairn (“pile of stones” in French) has been lying for more than 6,000 years. Research carried out during the 1950s discovered some funerary items, such as sharp arrows, polished axes, pottery shards and various pumice stone objects.

Access to the island is only possible at low tide, after crossing its 600 meter long isthmus.
