Trail 636a is very beautiful for the incredible environment it crosses, although almost flat it is a succession of small ups and downs and passages on rock blades. Overall it is challenging and suitable for expert hikers. There are NO equipped sections but there is no need. You only overcome a small wall of 3/4 m absolutely of grade I and a slightly exposed ledge

The path, signposted and numbered CAI 636a, connects the Gilberti Refuge with the Piano del Poviz, where it meets the crossroads with path 636 that goes up from Sella Nevea. It crosses a typically karst environment and in some places the track is very rough with the assistance of metal ropes. The passage above Pic Majot and under Mount Golovec is very suggestive.
