This trail takes you through a beautiful forest with guava, swamp mahogany, kukui, and Cook Island pines. The path starts with a climb up a cement road, gaining around 200 feet before it becomes a dirt path that ascends through the forest. You'll come across a switchback corner with a bench that offers a view of a gulch and Makamaka'ole Falls. As you continue to ascend up switchbacks, you'll get fantastic views of the Waihe'e Valley.
