Les Ruillans station is the gateway to some of the wildest descents on the planet. From this station, which is 3,200 meters above sea level and literally on a glacier, you will find routes such as the Route de la Pierre du Roi, an unmaintained 8 km descent, with 1,800 meters of elevation gain. Needless to say, the trails here are extremely difficult, with little room for error, so they are only recommended for the strongest and most experienced runners.
