Brambles, junipers, myrtle, thyme, sage and other plant species that are part of the world of the Mediterranean scrub almost completely impede the passage, offering resistance to those who want to travel it, a resistance that can be overcome with effort and a lot of willpower. There would be a desire to widen the gap in the future but nature, scents and stone are taking over, the only evidence of how man had bent the surrounding area to his interests.
