History and Characteristics
Inauguration: It was opened in 1900 for hydroelectric power generation purposes.
Powered plants: The flow drives the turbines of three important plants: the Vizzola plant (inaugurated on October 9, 1901, in the presence of the royals), the Tornavento plant, and the Castelli di Turbigo plant.
Management: Currently, the system is managed by Enel Green Power
