To get to the walls of Atxarte I follow one of the tracks of the GR38: “Ruta del Vino y del Pescado” which also crosses Urkiola and does so through a spectacular setting.The quarry and the walls of Atxarte are an icon of this small mountain range. An area with a climbing and mountaineering environment that is a reference throughout the Basque Country and surroundings.
