The Langenwolschendorf church has existed in its current form since 1721. It had to be rebuilt due to a fire in the town center in 1719. This baroque building with a massive square tower and an octagonal Welsh dome, which contained two bronze bells, found a new location “Am Schulberg”.
A few years passed before the first repairs were deemed necessary in the middle of the 19th century. Neither the double galleries on three sides of the interior nor the pulpit on the ground floor of the tower nor the organ from the 18th century were affected, but rather the church's pair of bronze bells.
To the shock of many, the “sound” of the church was confiscated in July 1917 for armament purposes during the First World War and was therefore replaced by a small bell from Kleinwolschendorf as an interim solution. Despite inflation in the years that followed the war, the financial resources were able to be raised to purchase two new steel bells in 1923 and thus restore the integrity of the church.

Elaborately renovated church in wonderful splendor even beyond the village borders, which was completed by necessary forecourt and cemetery work in 2008.
