The figure 8 loops at Ballardini Ranch clock in at just under 2.5 miles, which means this is a good spot to run laps. The terrain, like everywhere in the high desert, can be rocky, so wear some good trail running shoes. Also, there is little to no shade, which means morning and evening runs during the summer are best.
