the small church of San Bartolomeo in Pove del Grappa, overlooking the Brenta, has been restored thanks to the work of the Alpine troops. The small church, built on the left bank of the river, has suffered damage over the years, including the collapse of the Romanesque façade due to a flood in 1966. The medieval frescoes were removed and preserved in the Civic Museum of Bassano del Grappa . The church is owned by the Pirani-Cremona Foundation of Bassano del Grappa and, thanks to the financing of a group of Club Services and sponsors, it has been restored and made accessible to the community again. Under the guidance of the Superintendency of Fine Arts, the frescoes were reproduced in high resolution on panels and relocated to the original site. During the summer, the church will be open to the public on weekends.
