The Naperville Riverwalk originated from a community build by local volunteers in 1981, commemorating the city's 150th year. This ignited an enduring community spirit and shaped the Riverwalk into the crown jewel city asset it is today. Spanning 1.75 miles along the DuPage River, the Riverwalk boasts approximately 100 acres of scenic riverfront parks. Meandering paths, charming fountains, intriguing public artworks, and sweeping river vistas unfold along the way. With its distinctive lighting, landscaping and features, the Riverwalk has become both a community treasure and a nationally renowned attraction drawing visitors to Naperville.
