Acid War Zone Trail

Embark on the Acid War Zone Trail, an easy 1.1 miles (1.8 km) hike that takes you through an otherworldly landscape shaped by ocean erosion on lava stone. You will gain about 149 feet (45 metres) in elevation over an estimated 30 minutes, offering panoramic views of the rugged Maui coastline. Be especially careful near the Nakalele Blowhole, as strong, unpredictable waves and dangerous surf are common; always stay on dry rocks to ensure your safety.
