This double-track trail weaves through a mix of open area and forest, passing by the Wickersham Creek Trail Shelter before eventually meeting the Summit Trail, which makes for a fine loop.
Conditions get drier as the year goes on, but spring often starts out quite muddy on this trail—and some of the side trails in the area are so muddy and replete with bugs that they're best reserved for fat-tire biking in the winter, or possibly skiing depending on the snow conditions.
