The museum, which presents archaeological finds, is located in the structural remains of the former castle Nußdorf ob der Traisen. The castle Nußdorf ob der Traisen was demolished in 1860/1864. A large cellar building under a gable roof from the 19th century in romantic-historicist forms has been preserved. On the north side there is an eleven-axis sequence of buttresses sloped in the lower area and blind battlements above. Inside there is a large main cellar with a high vaulted barrel vault and lunettes arranged on one side.
