The Krogsande-Boldbierge area is one of the extensive dune landscapes on the west coast. A significant portion of these dunes are today
covered by plantations, others are used as military training areas and finally others are built up with summer houses.
At the beginning of the 1960s the area was placed under protection in order to keep the beautiful dune landscape undeveloped and unplanted. The area is privately owned.
