The Gateway Trail System is an extensive 30 mile+ network of hiking, running, horseback riding, and mountain biking trails on the west side of the town of Mount Shasta. The city is continually updating and expanding this area for recreation, so please visit mountshastatrailassociation.org/trails/mt-shasta/gateway for the most up-to-date information and maps. From these trails you get fantastic views of Mount Shasta and Mount Eddy.
