The Altevasshytte is a DNT cabin that is not locked with the standard DNT key, but has combination locks. Due to the nearby parking lot, there were probably too many overnight guests who had not paid. However, since the cabin has good cell reception, the code can be requested without making a reservation. It is even easier if you make the reservation via ut.no/hytte/10390/altevasshytta.
The cabin has several bedrooms and a nice large common room/kitchen.
