The San Giorgio Cemetery is one of the numerous field cemeteries, both Italian and Austro-Hungarian, established during the First World War in the vast area of Monte Zugna to hold the remains of the numerous fallen: 84 Italians (10 of whom are unknown) and 22 Austro-Hungarians, for a total of 106 men.
After the war, the Austro-Hungarian remains were transferred to the Rovereto cemetery; the Italian ones to the Castel Dante Memorial. Today, the cemetery also contains headstones found in the area, dedicated to those who fell on the spot.
