The River Laxford is a remote river located in the far northwest Highlands of Scotland. Although far away from much goings-on, the river is still very productive, and is part of a local project to restore salmon and sea trout populations.

This footpath along the river will afford you breathaking views of the surrounding wild landscapes, including over to some of the well-known mountains of the area, such as Arkle and Ben Stack.
