The Ivrea 5 Lakes Loop offers a challenging jogging experience through varied terrain, connecting five distinct glacial lakes. You will navigate dense forests, vineyards, and chestnut woods, encountering a mix of asphalt, dirt roads, and gravel sections. Expect both steep climbs and rapid descents on this difficult 13.7 miles (22.1 km) route. The trail gains 1337 feet (408 metres) of elevation and typically takes around 2 hours and 40 minutes to complete. As you jog, you will pass by the medieval Castello di Montalto Dora, visible from Lago Pistono, and the dark waters of Lago Nero.
