The origins are placed in the 12th century. It was rebuilt in the second half of the thirteenth century probably following a flood and, at the behest of the bishop of Treviso Alberto Ricco, it was consecrated to San Bartolomeo as thanks for the defeat of Alberico da Romano, which occurred on 24 August 1260. In 1440 a new full caused further destruction, so much so that in 1443 bishop Ludovico Barbo united Villa del Bosco, Saletto and Candelù under a single rector. San Bartolomeo continued to depend on the parish of Saletto until 1939, when it assumed complete autonomy.

San Bartolomeo is a fraction of the Italian municipality of Breda di Piave, in the province of Treviso. The church of San Bartolomeo was rebuilt in the second half of the 13th century probably following a flood and, at the behest of the bishop of Treviso Alberto Ricco, it was consecrated to San Bartolomeo as thanks for the defeat of Alberico da Romano, which occurred on 24 August 1260 .
